Please, then, within 3 days mail a check made payable to "Linda Griffith" in the amount of 1/2 of the total charges to: Magic Pond c/o Linda Griffith, P.O. Box 174, Blaine ME 04734. The remainder is due by check three weeks before you arrive. (If your dates are only a month or less away, please mail payment-in-full by check within 3 days of the initial confirmation).
•The security deposit is due when you arrive by a separate check (can't charge that, sorry).
PLEASE NOTE: I do not double book to protect Magic Pond from cancellations, so your space is assured. That means, however, that all payments (other than the $300. security deposit) are nonrefundable. Should an emergency arise, you can transfer your confirmed dates to someone else provided that the Terms of Stay are accepted by the new party.
FOR YOUR COMFORT: I am always concerned about fraud whenever making a sizable commitment like this over the internet, so would not be surprised if you were, too. If you would like to confirm the existence of Magic Pond, feel free to call the Blaine Town Office and talk to Chappy, the Town Manager. (You need to look up the number so you know it is legitimate!). He can attest to the fact that I own the property, pay my taxes on time and wear goofy hats.
